Our ability to provide independent grocers with an effective, efficient online platform creates what we call “The Mercato Effect” - a ‘loop’ where people have easy access to healthy, culturally appropriate foods, are able to easily redeem SNAP and other public/private food benefits, jobs are created, grocers can remain in business and dollars circulate in local communities.

Thriving Communities in NYC
Launched in December 2021, the NYC program supports low income residents by offering a convenient way to access healthy foods, fulfilled by independently-owned local businesses. The NYC Mayor's Office of Food Policy provides low-income New York residents with monthly online credits to cover the cost of groceries, delivery, tip and fees when shopping from 350+ local grocery stores.
